The purpose is to appeal to the intellect of society and culture. America has a pre-occupation with the “lure of a fresh, youthful face” and it’s creating a negative tone and a false culture for women to live with aging in a dignified way. The wisdom and appearance that is inherent with. Researchers found there is a beauty premium in the workplace. Those deemed more youthful looking are more likely able to get hired and are paid 12% more.
